I would prefer to have the requirement to not to use dangerously dedicated, How does the driver handles situation when there is one of the mirror drives broken or missing ? The driver doesnt handle that, its up to the BIOS for now.

I just downloaded the latest device driver for HPT370 version 1.11.0512. the file contains: hpt3xxNT.inf Hpt3xxNT.sys when I tried to update my driver, the system is asking for hpt3xx2k.sys instead. I didn't know XP had an internal driver for HPT370 so I gave it an old w2k driver. Later, because of some problems, I decided to do a clean.

After booting the recovery-console from cd and use chkdsk, it corrects errors and w2k could boot. But why does that thing happens so often, and why only under w2k? I installed the latest driver for hpt370 and w2k with sp1 and via 4.23 drivers. W98SE and Winme work without that problem. Regards, Daniel.
